AP Journal of Gifted and Talented Education
The official online journal of the Asia-Pacific Federation on Giftedness

AP Journal of Gifted and Talented Education is the premier online journal of the Asia-Pacific Federation on Giftedness (APFG). This Journal provides a forum for individuals to exchange educational practices and theoretical ideas on gifted and talented education in the Asia-Pacific region. Original articles on the following, especially pertaining to the Asia-Pacific region are welcome:

1. Identification of the gifted,
2. Instructional strategies,
3. Differentiated programs,
4. Curriculum for the gifted,
5. Program evaluation,
6. Professional development for teachers of the gifted are of interest,
7. Policies for gifted learners and gifted education programs, and
8. Development and current status of gifted education.

The AP Journal of Gifted and Talented Education will be published online at APF web site: http://www.apfgifted.org/

The Journal will be published semiannually at the end of May and November.

Manuscript Submission Guidelines
Authors should submit their manuscript and revisions in Microsoft Word format via e-mail to the Editor, Dr. Seokhee Cho, at journal@apgifted.net. Please submit only manuscripts that have not been published or are currently under consideration by another journal. Authors have the responsibility of obtaining permission to use previous published material in their articles.

All manuscript should be written in English. Authors are reminded that they are writing for a general audience; political and idiomatic use of language should be avoided.

Manuscripts will go through a blind peer review process and will be reviewed by at least three independent referees. A cover sheet must be included, listing the title of the manuscript, the name(s), institutional affiliation(s), and the email address(es) of the author(s), as well as the date the manuscript is submitted. This cover sheet will be removed by the Editor before the review process. The first page of the manuscript should contain the title but no clues to the authors’ identity.

Overall style of submissions should conform to the Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association, 5th edition. Manuscript are usually 5,000 to 7,000 words including reference lists, and accompanied by a 150-to-250-word abstract and 3-to-5 key words. Text should be typed in double space. Tables and figures are designed as supplements to the manuscript and identified with Arabic numbers and a short descriptive title; the places of tables and figures should be clearly indicated in the manuscript. All pages should be numbered as well.

Election and Term Office:
The Editor-in-Chief, Associate Editors, Contributing Editors, Editorial Associate and Publisher are to be elected for a period of two years. This election will take place at the Executive Members’ Meeting at the biennial Asia-Pacific Conference on Giftedness. The term of office ends the last day of the biennial APCG conference appropriate to the length of their term of office.
