  • Dr. Péter Csermely, who is a professor of the Semmelweis University (Budapest, Hungary), visited the Research Center for Supernormal Children, Institute of Psychology, CAS (Beijing, China) on Sep. 15th. He gave an impressive lecture introducing his work of Hungarian National Talent Support Network.

The Hungarian Genius Network, established by the cooperation of talent support organizations and experts, makes the flow, the distribution and use of information efficient. The core elements of this network are the so-called TalentPoints, talent supporting communities that are founded by public institutions of education, the church and/or civil organizations. They join the network voluntarily and are responsible for talent identification, talent development, talent counseling and identification and spread of best practices. With all these activities, it effectively promotes the discovery, success and social development of talented youth.

European countries have taken an interest in the TalentPoint Network and organizing Talent Days. This has inspired the first European Day of the Talented and Gifted during the Hungarian EU Presidency in 2011.

The Hungarian talent support model, which incorporates the scientific findings of network research in its organizational development and operation, is potentially enlightening for the development of Chinese talent support network.
